Photo: The Second Theology Seminarians visit All Saints School as part of their formation as priest-catechists.
When I was invited in 2011 by Father Mark Latcovich to join the Saint Mary Seminary faculty, I had no idea of the abundant graces the good God was preparing for me in this ministry. Presently I serve as Registrar and Assistant Academic Dean of the Seminary’s Graduate School of Theology. As a professor in the pastoral theology department, I also teach the graduate course “Evangelization and Catechesis” for the Second Theology Seminarians to prepare them for their field education experience teaching religion in Catholic Schools as well as their future ministry as priest-catechists.(*photo)
As a life-long SND educator, I was able to bring both my teaching and administration experience to serve the ministry of priestly formation and advanced theological studies. What do I most love about my ministry? To see up close how God is working in the hearts of these 80 young men in priestly formation and daily experience their joyful response to that call, their generosity and personal integrity, their eagerness for priestly ministry, and their love for the Church. But the greatest joy is to see them ordained priests, and to know that I was privileged to be a small part of their formation, encouraging them, teaching them, praying for them, and accompanying them on their seminary journey.
Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology is located in Wickliffe, Ohio and is part of the Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio.
