This summer I will celebrate “60” years as a Sister of Notre Dame. Without the support of my family, my friends and my community I wouldn’t be here today.
My driving mission is to live our Charism given to us by our foundress St. Julie Billiart : “Oh How Good is our Dear Good God.” I try to spread this charism in my present to ministries: at Notre Dame Elementary Preschool and Mission Advancement Office.
At Notre Dame Preschool I conduct monthly and bi-monthly Prayer Services especially during the Seasons of Advent and Lent. I try to help these children understand at their age how Jesus really loves each one of them and is very close to them by living in their hearts. I encourage them to talk to Jesus when they are happy, angry, or sad. Jesus will still love them and watch over them. I have found that praying with little children has greatly enriched my relationship with Jesus.
My second ministry is working as an Advancement Assistant in our Mission Advancement Office. My main role is keeping in touch with and thanking our many Donors either by writing or calling them. I find this ministry very enriching, because I have entered into many of their lives especially with the elderly who want someone to talk to. Joyfully, we can now say we have another friend who we can call on at any time!
At this time in my life I feel very blessed to be ministering to the very young and adults of all ages. “Oh How Good is the Dear Good God.”
