The SND Partners in Mission Recognition event was held on Sunday, April 22, at the Notre Dame Education Center. The theme “Through the Years” reflected on a historical look at the ministries of the Sisters of Notre Dame since arriving in the United States in 1874, as well as the growth of SND international mission efforts.
The event included recognizing partnerships formed through the years and celebrated loyal, consistent donors who have made the Sisters of Notre Dame a recipient of their yearly philanthropic gifts. 96 donors, from all over the world, were recognized for making financial gifts to the Sisters of Notre Dame for 25 years or more!
Special recognition was given to the Brewster family’s gifts of time and talent and their yearlong efforts to produce high-quality craft items. This family affair of four sisters, which includes Sister Mary Ann Brewster, SND, and husbands, work throughout the year to produce many of the sewn crafts and woodworking items sold in the SND Gallery gift shop, and in the Boutique at the yearly BBQ and Boutique event.
Sister Margaret Gorman, Provincial Superior, concluded the event by sharing, “Our mission is full of life because of the many blessings of partnership and collaboration we’ve enjoyed through the years with the individuals we honor and celebrate today.”
