Sister Mary Louismarie Nudo, SND; 1931 –2018

Our dear Sister Mary Louismarie went home to God at 12:33 a.m. on Friday morning, November 23. Sister was an excellent teacher, devoted to the small children she taught for more than forty-five years. Her greatest joy was to prepare her students for the reception of their First Holy Communion. Although small in stature, there was nothing small about the way she lived her religious life. For the past years Sister has lived courageously with Alzheimer’s disease. She was an inspiration to all who cared for her and to those who visited. May Sister Mary Louismarie delight in the loving embrace of her beloved Jesus.

The wake will be on Wednesday, November 28, from 2-4:45, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00. The burial will be private on Thursday morning.

My heart goes out to the community for the loss of Sr. Mary Louismarie. I taught school with Sister at St. Joseph School in Randolph. She loved teaching second grade. May she rest in peace and may our loving Father wrap His loving arms around her.

    Dear Sisters,
Yesterday at a family reunion a niece gave me a holy card that she had found among her father’s things, after his death and it was addressed to me with a really sweet note from Sister Louis Marie, I remember her as a sweet beautiful nun who everyone loved. I’m convinced that if she’s not in heaven, there will be no one there. Thank you for letting me experience her kind way with all of us. This was at St. Michael’s School, Plymouth, IN in 1952. Kathleen VanGilder
